Did you know engineers do more than build bridges and design fast cars? Engineers help prevent disease, reduce poverty and create solutions to protect people and our planet. Discover how at UBC Engineering Open House Saturday, November 29, 9am-3pm, in the Fred Kaiser Building (map).
Join us for cool demonstrations, fascinating lab tours, informative presentations and booths representing all of our 12 undergraduate programs. If you’ve ever wanted to see robots in action or set foot in a lab, this is your chance. Autonomous soccer-playing robots, a solar-powered car and magnetic levitation devices created by UBC Engineering students will be on display. And meet Charlie the Robot who will personally hand you a water bottle!
All are welcome to explore and talk to advisors, professors and current students about pursuing an exciting path in engineering.
